About Me
Hello, I’m Lesley, a qualified counsellor with experience working both in an agency setting and in private practice. I also have the privilege of being a co-tutor at Community Counsellor Training in Canterbury, where I help train and support aspiring counsellors.
Over the years, I’ve worked with clients who have a wide range of personal experiences and reasons for seeking counselling, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and more. I understand that every person’s experience is unique, and I am here to provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and concerns.
My approach to counselling is grounded in the belief that the therapeutic process should always be client-led, at a pace that feels right for you. I strive to create a non-judgemental, open, and compassionate environment where you can feel heard and understood, empowering you to move towards greater well-being.
In addition to face-to-face sessions, I am fully certified to offer online counselling via Zoom, which allows you to connect in a private and secure space where you feel comfortable.
I am genuinely committed to supporting you through whatever challenges you may be facing. It’s a privilege to be part of your journey, and I bring a calm, empathic approach to our work together.
Please feel free to contact me via email or telephone if you’d like to learn more about my practice or book a free 20-minute introductory call. I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have and discuss how we can work together.

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy
The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) is the leading professional body for counsellors in the UK, dedicated to promoting the role and relevance of counselling while ensuring that practice remains safe, ethical, and competent. They provide vital support to counsellors, helping them to continually develop their skills and better serve their clients.
As a Registered Member of the BACP, I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of proficiency, professionalism, and ethical practice. The BACP register is a public record of counsellors and psychotherapists who meet or exceed rigorous quality standards, covering areas such as training, supervision, ongoing professional development (CPD), and adherence to the BACP’s comprehensive Ethical Framework and guidelines.
To ensure I provide the best possible care, I engage in regular CPD and ongoing supervision, which are essential aspects of my practice. Online Telephone & Counselling
As a counsellor, I believe in the importance of adaptability to meet the unique needs of each individual. With this in mind, I completed the Online & Telephone Counselling Certification, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to offer counselling online in a safe, ethical, and effective way.
This certification enhances my existing qualifications and enables me to offer support to individuals, regardless of their location. By embracing technology, I can connect with those who may find it difficult to travel or who would prefer to engage in counselling from a private space where they feel comfortable and able to be open.
Online counselling offers the flexibility to choose a setting that suits you, helping you feel more at ease while exploring your thoughts and feelings in a safe, supportive environment.
